Manager Aidy Boothroyd has plenty of options open to him with the likes of Clive Platt, Lewis Hornby and Matt Heath all available for selection and has urged his players to be 'smarter' in the wake of last Saturday's disappointing defeat at Southend.
Torquay have made a similarly slow start but boss Alan Knill is confident that his players can cause problems for their hosts.
“We have to go up there, be positive and keep our concentration," he said, quoted on the This Is Devon website
"It really is about us and it will be a tough game for Northampton.”
