Aidy Boothroyd's side continue their slow improvement although they struggled to create chances from open play against the Shakers and had an own goal to thank for their equaliser.
Nardiello had put the Shakers in front from the penalty spot in David Flitcroft's first game in charge of Bury but Chris Hackett missed a penalty which would have sent Town in front at the break.
"We missed a penalty at Southend, hit the bar at York and missed a penalty at home against Accrington – although thankfully we won that game – but these things tend to happen when you are where we are,” said Aidy Boothroyd afterwards.
"I can’t fault the application of the players, who want to win the game and create chances."
