Their record of victories away from home is the joint-worst in the division alongside struggling Aldershot and Torquay although manager Aidy Boothroyd saw his side turn in an excellent performance to come within minutes of a win at promoted Port Vale this weekend.
Last season Town won six times away from Sixfields despite finishing down in 20th place in the division.
They return home, scene of sixteen victories this season, for the final league game of the campaign against Barnet on Saturday ahead of the play-off semf-finals.
"Last season this club only got 46 points so to reach the 70-point mark with a game to go is a magnificent achievement by all concerned," said Boothroyd after the Port Vale game.
