A busy schedule for Chris Wilder's team shows no signs of easing up and they make a long journey north for the second time in less than a week after Tuesday evening's victory at York City.
Ahead of the game, striker Sam Hoskins has become the latest Northampton player to sign a new contract at Sixfields.
The 23-year-old has impressed in his first season with the club and has been rewarded with a two-and-a-half year deal, joining Lawson D'Ath and Rod McDonald in committing to the club.
Speaking about Hoskins, Chris Wilder told the official club website: "Through his performances, his work rate and his desire to succeed are clear to see and he is another player with a superb attitude, and that is important."
Cobblers Mad will have reaction to the match over the weekend.
