Aidy Boothroyd warned last week that his side are some way away from reaching their best form but will be keen for them to take something away from a tough trip to Roots Hall where they meet a Southend side in high spirits after an excellent start to the campaign.
Shrimpers boss Phil Brown has said that Town will provide his men with a different test to the ones they have faced so far in wins against Plymouth Argyle and Hartlepool United.

Former Northampton goalkeeper Chris Dunn, meanwhile, has ended his frustrating time with Sixfields groundsharers Coventry City.
Having made over 100 appearances for the Cobblers before a move to the then-Championship Sky Blues in 2011 Dunn has made only 3 further starts since then.
