Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole has been a key figure in an excellent recent run of form for Chris Wilder's men and the Northampton manager has responded by taking the 27-year-old off the transfer list.
"It's taken a while for him to get going, but we're delighted with his performances," Wilder told BBC Radio Northampton, adding that the former Bristol Rovers man had been undertaking extra training.
While backing for the team has been excellent this season, notably at Cambridge United last weekend, there will be further protests on Saturday as the worrying prospect of NTFC being liquidated has reared its head over the past few days.
Northampton Borough Council say they are working with the club to prevent that scenario but have ruled out the write-off of a £10m loan made for the re-development of Sixfields.
