Saturday's re-arranged home game with Chesterfield gives Northampton a chance to continue their momentum towards what would be an unlikely place in the League Two play-offs. The Spireites currently occupy the final play-off place, six points above Ian Sampson's men following the excellent 2-0 win at Macclesfield on Wednesday night. And the Cobblers will be in confident mood given their recent form, the fact that Sampson's new signings are waiting in the wings to keep the first team on their toes and with Chesterfield having a poor away record, that has seen them lose eight of their eleven league games on the road. The game also marks a welcome return to Sixfields for the first action since Boxing Day.
