Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder made a quick start to his summer recruitment, snapping up Zander Diamond and Marc Richards as well, and elsewhere in the division both York City and Bury have also been busy.
After unexpectedly reaching the play-offs in the season just ended, York manager Nigel Worthington has already added three players to his squad with the captures of striker Jake Hyde (Barnet), defender Femi Ilesanmi (Dagenham & Redbridge) and goalkeeper Jason Mooney (Tranmere Rovers).
Bury manager David Flitcroft, meanwhile, is looking to push on from his side's strong end to the campaign and has made moves for defender Chris Hussey (Burton Albion), veteran forward Ryan Lowe (Tranmere Rovers) and midfielders Danny Mayor and Nicky Adams (Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United).
