Having secured a place in League One next season with their win at Morecambe last Saturday, the Brewers host a Northampton Town side this weekend who are still in with a chance of making the play-offs.
Hasselbaink detected a drop in his men''s focus in training at the start of the week but believes that has now been shaken out of the system.
''We will keep on preparing for Saturday in the right way and make sure we are right and competitive,'' said the Dutchman.
Hasselbaink has built on the work done by Gary Rowett at the Pirelli Stadium and Chris Wilder believes Burton are a club who can provide a template for future Northampton success.
He told the official NTFC website: "It’s taken them three years to get to this point and I think they are definitely a model that we can look at and learn from."
