Parkinson has overseen a big change in the squad he inherited from Peter Jackson but not a corresponding upturn in results since becoming the new Bradford City manager.
The Bantams face Northampton on Saturday with both sides in desperate need of a three-point boost and Parkinson believes his signings will now show what they can do.
“It’s been difficult because we’ve had players who’ve almost been doing a pre-season in the season," he told the Telegraph & Argus.
“But we had a good chat this week to go through what we’re all about as a team.
“The feedback from a couple of lads who’ve been here a few years is that this is the strongest squad we’ve had. The lads know it but now we need to get going."
