With his Cobblers side still mired in the relegation places at the foot of the Football League manager Aidy Boothroyd felt they didn't get what they deserved from Saturday's game.
He told the official NTFC website: 'in my opinion there were two big decisions that went against us.'
Boothroyd's beef was a potential penalty for his side and a foul in the build-up to Barnet's winning goal.
Calling the defeat a 'low point' he vowed however to keep searching for the solution at Sixfields to keep Town out of the clutches of the Blue Square Premier.
Chris Weale made his debut in goal for the Cobblers after signing on loan from Leicester City.
