Northampton could have defender Dean Beckwith back in the squad to face Cheltenham. Beckwith has missed the last five matches with a thigh strain but returned to training this week and could go straight back into the side at Whaddon Road.
Manager Ian Sampson will be without forward Courtney Herbert for the trip. Herbert sat out the 2-0 defeat at Macclesfield last weekend with a calf injury and scans have shown he has a stress fracture and could be out for at least three weeks. Left-back Marcus Hall is fully fit after a hamstring injury while fellow defender Craig Hinton is close to a return from a knee injury. Striker Tadhg Purcell is out for the entire season after he suffered serious knee ligament damage in August.
