Defender Aaron Morris is away on international duty with the Wales Under-21 squad and will miss out.
Northampton will be without striker Tadhg Purcell for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. Midfielder Ryan Gilligan (ankle) and left-back Marcus Hall (hamstring) are also out but defender John Johnson has recovered from a groin problem.
Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon told BBC Surrey: "We seem to have something on us because we beat them twice last season.
"We won quite convincingly at their place, though they had a man sent off. It's a tough game - I always feel Northampton should be challenging for promotion. They're a strong team.
"I'm happy because the players have settled. There's a definite change in attitude with the players training and on match days - people getting behind each other.
"There's a real bond and long may that continue."
Northampton boss Ian Sampson told BBC Radio Northampton:"Tadhg Purcell is out for the season, Ryan Gilligan is out for three months and Marcus Hall is out for a month.
"So in terms of injuries it's not looking too good but we are going to have to deal with it.
"Fortunately I've got a bit of money to spend on wages due to the good Carling up run."
