Northampton Town striker Adebayo Akinfenwa admitted it was a big relief to get back on the pitch following the Cobblers' 2-0 win at Macclesfield.Akinfenwa, 27, created the first goal and scored the second as Ian Sampson's side extended their unbeaten run in League Two to six matches.
It was their first game in 18 days and Akinfenwa told BBC Radio Northampton: "We were certainly raring to go.
"The manager told us to take out our built-up frustration - and we did."
Akinfenwa's ninth goal of the campaign lifted Northampton to 13th place in the table, having not conceded a league goal in more than 400 minutes of football.
"We're playing with much more confidence at the moment and looking much more solid," he added.
"I'm happy with my own performances - but as I keep on saying, I can't do it without the rest of the team.
"Everyone's playing for each other and when you do that it shows."
