Saturday 13th April 2002
Bury 1-3 Colchester United
Whilst the Cobblers were getting hammered at Wigan, Colchester United done us a massive favour. You make your own luck in football and this compensated for the amount of games this season where Northampton Town won more friends than points.

Every credit goes to the players and not least Kevan Broadhusrt for this fantastic achivement. Sky Sports said that the team that is bottom of the Premiership never survives! It must be harder in the Nationwide League and Northampton Town done it with a game to spare.

One game to go - let's enjoy it!

See you at Sixfields on Saturday!
